Are your Australian Shepherds registered?
Yes. They are registered with the American Kennel Club AKC.
How big do standard-size Aussies get when full grown?
Standard males grow to be about 20-23'' tall to top of the shoulder, while females are around 18-21''. Males typically weigh 50-65 lbs and females are usually 40-55 lbs.
Are any of your puppies mini or toy Australian Shepherds?
No, we only breed standard-size Australian Shepherds.
How much are your puppies?
We are currently selling our puppies for $2000 - $2500 depending on the coloring and markings.
Are your puppies papered? If so, can I paper my puppy?
Yes, all of our dogs are papered as AKC Australian Shepherds. Yes, you can paper them but you will not receive any breeding rights unless an explicit agreement has been reached with us and an additional fee has been paid on top of the purchase price. We HIGHLY encourage females to be spayed AFTER first heat cycle and males once they have reached one year of age.
When is my puppy ready to come home?
Your new baby will be ready for pickup no sooner than 8 weeks of age.
Can we visit to meet and choose a puppy, or come and visit our puppy we have already reserved?
Yes and yes! You must contact us first to set up an appropriate day and time, but we are happy to accommodate local adopters who would like to get a sense of the puppies' disposition before selecting one. If you are out of state or unable to meet in person, we can send you photos and videos as well as a description of the puppy's personality to help you choose. Bear in mind that most puppies do not start exhibiting full personalities until they are about six weeks of age.
What is the process for buying one of your Aussie puppies?
Visit our puppies page to find a puppy you are interested in. Then fill out and submit our adoption questionnaire and we will reach out to you for a deposit and to finalize the hold on your puppy! It's as simple as that! We do encourage you to fill out the entire questionnaire as fully as you can. If you skip questions or submit an incomplete form, we will reach out to you for missing information or may prioritize other buyers with complete questionnaires.
How much is a deposit to hold a puppy, and is it refundable?
Deposits are $500.00. Personal checks or cash are acceptable for a deposit. Electronic money transfers are considered on a case-by-case basis. Personal checks must clear first for there to be a valid hold placed on the puppy.
Do you ship your puppies?
We consider the ethical shipping of a puppy on a case-by-case basis. If agreed upon, the entire cost of shipping is the responsibility of the buyer in addition to the full cost of the puppy.
I live far away or in another state. How can I get my puppy?
Sometimes the buyer traveling to pickup the puppy can be more cost-effective than shipping. If you are willing and able to fly out to us, we are absolutely happy to meet you at the airport. We can meet you in-person at Sea-Tac (SEA) or Bellingham International (BLI) on a day and time of your choosing.
